Planning a medical appointment is easier when you know how to arrange the ride. Lighthouse Medical Transportation offers scheduled non-emergency transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair passengers in the Greater Lansing area.

Request a ride by phone or text

Call or text (517) 280-5862. Tell our team your pickup and destination addresses, appointment date and time, and any mobility needs. If you are booking for someone else, have the rider name and a contact number ready.

Use the MobiMate app

You can also use the MobiMate app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, open Join Organization, and search for Lighthouse. The Request a Ride page has the current app links and step-by-step instructions. If the app shows a request error while joining, contact our team at the number above for help.

Ask about your trip before booking

Tell us whether the passenger uses a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility aid and whether the trip is one time or recurring. We can discuss the ride details and scheduling with you. For Medicaid-related rides, check with your DHHS agent about trip arrangements. We can submit invoices to DHHS agents we work with for rides they coordinate.
